Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. 01Day

   Amman — Downtown Life

   Afternoon: Walking tour of Downtown Amman (Al-Balad): the gold souq, spice market, and Al-Husseini Mosque, led by a local guide rather than a coach.

   Evening: Hands-on Jordanian cooking class in a family kitchen — mansaf or maqluba, cooked and eaten with the host family, not a restaurant demo.

   Overnight: Boutique guesthouse, Jabal Amman/Weibdeh

2. 02Day

   As-Salt & Fuheis Villages

   Morning: As-Salt's Ottoman old town with a resident guide who grew up there, visiting a family-run soap or textile workshop.

   Afternoon: Fuheis, a small Christian hill town known for its olive groves and family-run vineyards — an olive-pressing or wine-tasting visit depending on season, and time simply sitting in the town square.

   Overnight: Boutique guesthouse, Amman

3. 03Day

   Madaba Mosaic Workshop — Dana Village Homestay

   Morning: Hands-on mosaic-setting class with a Madaba artisan family whose workshop has produced mosaics for churches across Jordan — guests make and keep a small tile piece.

   Afternoon: Drive south to Dana village; evening spent with a local family over tea, discussing reserve life and Bedouin/village relations.

   Overnight: Community-run guesthouse, Dana village

4. 04Day

   Dana — Copper Craft & Bread Baking

   Morning: Short walk into the Dana Biosphere Reserve with a Bedouin guide, stopping at a family camp for flatbread baked on a saj (traditional convex griddle).

   Afternoon: Visit to a local silver/copper craftsperson near Feynan, continuing a metalworking tradition tied to the valley's ancient mines; transfer toward Petra.

   Overnight: Boutique hotel, Wadi Musa

5. 05Day

   Petra — Umm Sayhoun Bedouin Village

   Morning: Petra's Treasury and Street of Facades with a guide from the local Bdoul Bedouin community, whose families lived inside Petra until relocation to nearby Umm Sayhoun.

   Afternoon: Visit to Umm Sayhoun village for tea with a Bdoul family and a look at traditional Bedouin jewellery and embroidery-making, rarely offered to day-trip groups.

   Evening: Petra by Night (Mon/Wed/Thu), the Siq and Treasury lit by candlelight with live music.

   Overnight: Boutique hotel, Wadi Musa

6. 06Day

   Wadi Rum Bedouin Family Stay — Departure

   Midday: Transfer to Wadi Rum. Rather than a large commercial camp, guests join a Bedouin family's own camp for the afternoon — herding goats, learning to make bread and tea over an open fire, and hearing family stories and oral poetry.

   Evening/Morning: Overnight with the family, sunrise breakfast, then transfer to Aqaba for a walk through the old fishing harbour before departure.
