Wellness & Relaxation

Desert Silence & Healing

Typical "relaxation" add-ons in Jordan mean one afternoon at a Dead Sea resort bolted onto a sightseeing tour. This itinerary is built the other way around: slow travel through Jordan's three genuinely restorative landscapes — the mineral hot-spring waterfalls of Ma'in, the candlelit silence of the Dana Biosphere Reserve, and a private, low-density Wadi Rum camp chosen specifically for quiet over spectacle — with the Red Sea as a closing stretch of pure downtime.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

  1. 01Day

    Amman — Ma'in Hot Springs

Afternoon: Transfer to Hammamat Ma'in, a valley of mineral-rich hot-spring waterfalls cascading from 60°C thermal sources, for a soak and light spa treatment — an alternative to the Dead Sea that most itineraries skip entirely.

Evening: Quiet dinner overlooking the valley, no scheduled activity.

    Overnight: Ma'in Hot Springs resort

  2. 02Day

    Ma'in — Dead Sea

Morning: Optional second spring soak or a slow, unguided walk; late check-out.

Afternoon: Transfer to the Dead Sea (45 min). Free afternoon: float, mineral mud treatment, private cabana.

Overnight: Dead Sea resort with full spa access

  3. 03Day

Dead Sea — Dana Biosphere Reserve

Morning: Spa treatment of choice (included), then a scenic drive south along the King's Highway.

Afternoon: Arrival in Dana village; free time on the guesthouse terrace overlooking the reserve at golden hour.

    Overnight: Dana Guesthouse

  4. 04Day

    Dana — Feynan Ecolodge

Morning: Optional short, easy nature walk with an RSCN ranger (no strenuous trekking) or simply remain at the guesthouse.

Afternoon: 4x4 transfer down into the reserve to Feynan Ecolodge, solar-powered and candlelit after dark, with no phone signal or road noise.

Evening: Rooftop stargazing session and a traditional Bedouin tea ceremony; all meals plant-forward and locally sourced.

    Overnight: Feynan Ecolodge

  5. 05Day

Feynan — Wadi Rum (Private Silence Camp)

Midday: Transfer to Wadi Rum. Rather than a shared jeep-tour camp, guests stay at a small, low-density private camp positioned away from generator-run sites, chosen specifically for night silence and dark skies.

Afternoon: Optional gentle sunset drive to a single viewpoint (Um Sabatah) — no multi-stop jeep circuit — followed by an open-air, candlelit dinner.

Overnight: Private Bedouin camp, en-suite tent

  6. 06Day

Wadi Rum — Aqaba — Departure

Morning: Slow breakfast in camp, then transfer to Aqaba (1 hr) for a final Red Sea swim or snorkel session before departure via King Hussein International Airport, or onward transfer to Amman.
