The Dana Biosphere Reserve spans multiple biogeographical zones within a single protected area — from Mediterranean woodland at the rim down through desert canyon terrain toward Feynan. It's Jordan's largest nature reserve and one of its most ecologically significant.

Rooms open onto the reserve at golden hour — a genuinely different pace from a city hotel or resort. On our Living Jordan itinerary, the evening includes tea with a local family discussing reserve life and Bedouin/village relations; on other routes, it's simply unstructured time on the terrace.
